Learn About Animals With Our Anti-Dissection Activity Sheet
Every year in the United States alone, over 10 million animals are used in cruel classroom dissection exercises. Animals don’t want to be killed and then dissected. They want to live and do the things they love—like living in their homes and spending time with their families. Sound familiar?
We can help protect animals like frogs, pigs, cats, and mice from dissection by refusing to take part in these cruel exercises. Many U.S. states and Canadian provinces have laws that say students must be offered humane options like digital dissection and clay models, which don’t require that animals be killed or cut open.
Even if you don’t live in an area that has laws like this, you and your parents can talk to your teachers and school administration about having animal-free options or even get them to consider ditching dissection entirely.
Use this activity sheet to learn more about the animals who are used in classrooms every year for dissection and what you can do to help stop it!
Share this activity with your friends, too, to inform others and speak up for animals being used for dissection.
