Bottoms Up! Try These Cruelty-Free Diapers
Bet you didn’t think companies would test diapers on animals, but some do—for tests of the chemicals used in them. (Why are there chemicals in diapers, anyway?!)
Animal moms don’t put diapers on their young, so performing painful tests on animals is ridiculous—and cruel. Hopefully, all companies will toss animal testing in the trash like a dirty diaper in the near future, but in the meantime, here are our favorite vegan, cruelty-free (but unfortunately not stink-proof ?) diapers:
The Honest Company
Founded by actor Jessica Alba, this brand has a ton of vegan and cruelty-free products, but we especially love these cute printed diapers. Bundles can even be shipped to your home.
Parasol
This company has some of the cutest packaging we’ve ever seen, but what’s on the inside is more amazing. Hypoallergenic and chlorine-free, these diapers are the ultimate in comfort for your little one. Parasol also has a subscription service that includes diapers and wipes.
Seventh Generation
Did you know that this cleaning brand also has baby-care items like diapers? Now you do!
Whole Foods 365
Out shopping at Whole Foods and need diapers? You’re in luck because its house brand, 365, has diapers that are comfy and free of artificial ingredients.
Attitude
These diapers are all biodegradable and made from renewable, vegetable-based material. As Attitude’s website says, “[A] newborn can use 3,650 to 4,380 diapers in her first year alone,” which is why the company stresses the eco-friendly features of its products.
Cloth Diapers
It’s easy to find vegan and cruelty-free reusable cloth diapers, and going old school is cost-effective and eco-friendly.
